Dr. Dodoo has been in the banking industry since 1994 and has experience in Project Review & Management, Relationship Management, Credit, Risk Management, Business Development, Special Asset Management & Recoveries, Enterprise-Wide Mergers, Acquisitions & Integrations and General & Change Management. He has a multiple country experience, having worked in and held top level management positions including Head of SME (Commercial Banking), Executive Director and Managing Director at various times in Ghana, Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Uganda. As Regional Risk Manager for the then East & Southern Africa Region of the Ecobank Group from 2007 to early 2009, he held oversight supervision responsibilities in Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Kenya, Malawi and Uganda. His key achievements have been the turnaround of 2 Ecobank affiliates (Sierra Leone and Uganda) into profitability.

Clement’s immediate past responsibility was with Equity Group Holdings Limited in Kenya, as the Group Director of Integrations and double-hatted as Group Director of Special Assets Management. In all, he has over 32 years working experience, 30 of which were in banking across the African spectrum.

He holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration (2020) and a Master of Applied Business Research from the Swiss Business School, a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Certificate in Contemporary Management from the Nobel International Business School. He has worked extensively in power generation and supply, social protection and development, healthcare, education, multimedia and financial sectors and on elections and governance projects.

He has been certified by the IEEE Computer Society, both as a Software Development Professional and a Software Engineering Certified Instructor, holds a certificate in Data Science and Big Data Analytics from MIT, and a MicroMasters in Data, Economics and Social Development also from MIT.

He has worked as the National MIS Consultant for the Ghana Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection’s Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) Social Cash Transfer program in Ghana since 2010. For LEAP, he leads the development of the MIS for managing all the Targeting, Selection, Enrolment, Payment, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Case Management processes. More recently, he supported the development of the Unified Social Registry and Cash Transfer Management Information system for the Government of Somalia. Was Quality Assurance Consultant responsible for supporting the government client to evaluate the quality of the outputs delivered by the contractor. Provided support for the development of the overall delivery systems including the Operational Manuals.

He was also a Senior Consultant and Director of Technologies at Balanced Scorecard West Africa, the West Africa affiliate of the Balanced Scorecard Institute. Holds the Balanced Scorecard Master Professional certification, a certification jointly awarded by the Balanced Scorecard Institute and the George Washington University Center for Professional Studies.
