Dr. Dodoo has been in the banking industry since 1994 and has experience in Project Review & Management, Relationship Management, Credit, Risk Management, Business Development, Special Asset Management & Recoveries, Enterprise-Wide Mergers, Acquisitions & Integrations and General & Change Management. He has a multiple country experience, having worked in and held top level management positions including Head of SME (Commercial Banking), Executive Director and Managing Director at various times in Ghana, Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Uganda. As Regional Risk Manager for the then East & Southern Africa Region of the Ecobank Group from 2007 to early 2009, he held oversight supervision responsibilities in Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Kenya, Malawi and Uganda. His key achievements have been the turnaround of 2 Ecobank affiliates (Sierra Leone and Uganda) into profitability.
Clement’s immediate past responsibility was with Equity Group Holdings Limited in Kenya, as the Group Director of Integrations and double-hatted as Group Director of Special Assets Management. In all, he has over 32 years working experience, 30 of which were in banking across the African spectrum.
He holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration (2020) and a Master of Applied Business Research from the Swiss Business School, a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Certificate in Contemporary Management from the Nobel International Business School.
